Carolina Tagliaferri is a Tuscan actress with a life story most writers would envy. Raised in the seaside city of Livorno, she was a hyperactive, endlessly imaginative child who found her truest home in cinema seats, dreaming herself into other lives long before she knew acting could be one of them. The road there was gloriously indirect: three years as a competitive figure skater, five years of art school studying the history of film, a leap of faith to Tenerife where she learned the hospitality trade from nothing, and finally the mountains of the Garfagnana, where she is now chef and co-owner of a small restaurant she built with her husband. Along the way came modelling and video work. Performing in Italian and English, Carolina brings to the screen exactly what she has lived: reinvention, resilience, and a deep instinct for people under pressure. Cinema was once her escape. Now it is how she communicates, and the girl who always wanted to experience other lives is finally doing exactly that.
